We stayed for two nights in late March for the first time and everything about this place went beyond our expectations , especially the staff on greeting and throughout were always willing to offer assistance and go out of their way to help, the place is immaculate and very well managed by the onsite manager . Communal areas are surrounded by lush green gardens with pops of colour, carved wood and stone motifs ensuring the feeling of space, luxury and serenity permeates more than just your private treatment room.
Each treatment, be it massage, body scrub, facial or otherwise is based on Balinese wellness principles, with the female staff both distinctly professional and calming. The boreh spice Scrub and Wrap is a heavenly and authentic Balinese treatment, relieving muscle tension whilst energising the skin. Massage styles on offer include Balinese, Chi, Mantra and Hot Stone, whilst facials use only natural, organic botanicals to leave the skin glowing and rejuvenated. To truly immerse yourself in the spirit of relaxation, blissed-out patrons can choose between a complimentary pot of T2 tea or glass of champagne with every treatment or package. For those who feel one, two or three hours is not nearly enough time at ikatan (we don’t!), a small wine list and food by Noosa catering stalwarts, The Rolling Dolmade, is on offer for Spa guests.
As would be expected in a place of complete restfulness, tranquillity and peace, the Day Spa states “In consideration of adults wanting to relax, we do not accept babies or children at ikatan.” In short, this is an indulgent experience where the focus is truly on you and your relaxation.
