Amazing location and probably the best pool on Hastings Street. Apartments are styled nicely. Complimentary breakfast is a nice touch. Seasons restaurant room service was outstanding, excellent food in our apartment both nights. - Christine
Ahoy! Few things say seaside holiday more than cruising about on aquamarine waters with the breeze in your hair and the smell of salt in the air. Thankfully here in Noosa, getting out on the water is not only easy, but safe thanks to the meandering Noosa River, its gentle waters and diverse waterscapes. Hiring a boat for the day, especially in these idyllic ‘winter’ days when the water is at its clearest, is an absolute must for any Noosa holiday maker looking for some peace, relaxation and a different perspective of this beautiful area beyond Main Beach.
Most boat hire businesses are located right on the river opposite Noosaville’s dining strip of Gympie Terrace with a number of options on offer. From ‘party pontoons’ to smaller tinnies, most come with an esky, a BBQ, a map of the river and friendly instructions on the best places to go depending on the breeze and tide that day. With simple operating instructions, getting into those pockets of the Noosa River where the people are few and the vistas are stunning is easy. Pull up on to your own private beach, watch the seabirds wheel around and feeling that crystal clear water lap your ankles is quite simply a gorgeous use of your Noosa holiday time. For those who require something to ‘do’ grab a fishing line (the boat hire desk will help you with this) and ponder life’s big questions while you wait for the big one. The kids will love pulling in the smaller fish!
Hire for a half or full day, take a BBQ pack to cook onboard while the kids play with soldier crabs on a sand bar, or simply pull up near Hastings St at the Noosa Lions Park or next to Gympie Terrace and grab your favourite lunch time gourmet burger or fish and chips. Remember your swimmers, sunscreen and importantly, ask the Tingirana staff to help with booking your boat: this is a popular Noosa activity, especially for families in the school holidays.
