Amazing location and probably the best pool on Hastings Street. Apartments are styled nicely. Complimentary breakfast is a nice touch. Seasons restaurant room service was outstanding, excellent food in our apartment both nights. - Christine
Despite their best efforts, sometimes after arriving at Tingirana and settling into luxurious relaxation our guests look over Noosa’s Main Beach and the worry of ‘life’ creeps back in. It’s the ‘I wish we’d brought the xyz,’ agony or, worse, the ‘I forgot’ angst. The kind of bother that in most beach holiday destinations would normally involve a trip in the car to the nearest shopping centre and a fraught trawl through shopfronts all the while in the knowledge that this is not where the holiday is at. Literally. For our guests however, stocking up on those beach essentials is as easy as taking a 100m stroll out the door…
For those with children who packed five hundred underpants and a jumper for their summer beach holiday, Go Bananas is your first port of call to stock up on swimmers, sun safe gear and clothing. Stocking a large range of baby and children wares, brands such as Quicksilver, Roxy, Speedo, Bebe and Toshi form a huge variety of clothing for your little ones. The Sunshine Coast sun is harsh: rashies and hats are a must for delicate young skin! Best of all, GoBananas is so close, you could even nip down in between the beach and the Tingirana pool!
For some guests, the realisation that beach days should involve more than lazing by the pool also becomes apparent. Where’s the beach umbrella and handy fold out chair for those long and languid summer days? Conveniently, the LiveLife Pharmacy across and up Hastings St is more than a place for Aquaear, more sunscreen and aloe vera gel or new Lancôme cosmetics (though they have those too in abundance!) Here, affordable and brightly coloured umbrellas, chairs, beach toys and a large range of hats and sunglasses are on offer for those last minute beach essentials. You can pick them up on your way to the flags.
Hungry? Whilst the restaurants around Tingirana are exceptional and Season Restaurant provide exceptional room service, sometimes guests just want to plate up their own food. Enter: MilkBar. Located directly across Hastings St from Tingirana in the Bay Village Shopping Centre, MilkBar is not your average grocery store. Delicious salads, meals, cheese and a plethora of other deli items line the cabinet… a swathe of baked goods next to the coffee machine call out in the early morning… a long row of fridges are filled with exotic delights and yes, plain old milk… gourmet and organic goods grace the shelves… this is holiday food shopping amped to the max. Pick up anything from a gorgeous sourdough and Pepe Saya butter to bespoke granola, healthy salads, traditional Italian salami, French fromage and crispy crackers for breakfast, lunch or snacks on the beach. They also cater to a wide range of dietary requirements.
Finally, after a long day on Noosa’s Main Beach, lathered in sunscreen and covered in salt and sand, guests’ attention turns to their skin. Sometimes, the travel-sized bottle just isn’t quite enough or the toiletry bag was left on the bathroom sink… either way, Lamington has you covered. And no, there’s not a piece of chocolate and coconut lathered sponge in sight! Located just 150 metres down Hastings St from Tingirana, Lamington has a wide range of luxury products for after-the-beach skincare. Apart from stocking a wide range of Aesop brand skincare, this beautifully curated shop also has on hand a variety of other products including Solid State and Aqua Noosa. There are also beach sandals, beach towels, gorgeous baby and toddler wear and lots of mementos to take home. For those guests looking for something unique (or just to wash the day off), Lamington is the go-to.
Let all your cares disappear during your stay at Tingirana. There is no angst, worry or woe here, just luxury, relaxation and beautiful surrounds.
