We stayed for two nights in late March for the first time and everything about this place went beyond our expectations , especially the staff on greeting and throughout were always willing to offer assistance and go out of their way to help, the place is immaculate and very well managed by the onsite manager . This is all on top of the beautiful rooms , location and facilities , I highly recommend . - Amy
Noosa was declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2007, an international achievement acknowledging the area’s balance between the impact of human development and conserving the environment. The biosphere area extends from Noosa down to Peregian Beach and out to Cooroy, as well as encompassing a three kilometre wide oceanic corridor off Noosa’s beaches. This is only the second UNESCO declared biosphere in all of Queensland.
What does this mean for visitors to this beautiful area? Pristine waterways, custodial management of spaces protected from development, a focus on preserving the flora and fauna of the area, and above all, a natural experience in Noosa.
Get out onto the Noosa River and you’ll be on one of the healthiest waterways in Australia. Spot a koala in the National Park and you’ll be viewing one of three thousand species of native fauna getting around the Noosa Biosphere. Ride down any of the eight Noosa Trail Network’s bikeways, and you’ll be biking through pristine environments that are internationally recognised. Take part in a cruise up into the Everglades and you’ll be entering (and passing through) a number of the 60 distinct ecosystems found in Noosa. And the best part? You’ve only got to walk out Tingirana’s front gate and onto the beach to enter the Biosphere yourself. The Noosa National Park forms part of the Biosphere, along with 35% of the land within the Noosa Shire along with Main Beach itself.
The environment in and around Noosa is exceptional and looked after by a core group of dedicated locals.
