We stayed for two nights in late March for the first time and everything about this place went beyond our expectations , especially the staff on greeting and throughout were always willing to offer assistance and go out of their way to help, the place is immaculate and very well managed by the onsite manager . There are few places on the Sunshine Coast where upon entering the gates of a property, you are truly transported to a different universe. A place where the outside world is left behind and you wonder for a few hours at least, whether you really should go back. From the outside, situated as it is on a busy road near Bli Bli, Tank Bathhouse is a little underwhelming, but drive through the chink in those nondescript walls, and you will have found paradise.
Tank Bathhouse and Day Spa is a 35 minute drive from Tingirana Resort. Situated on acres of manicured lawn, rural scenes and the hills of the Sunshine Coast provide a lush backdrop to the hours of indulgence guests spend here. Whites and blues cover the colour palette of the property, with the strong Hamptons style muted with sandy Coastal chic tones and natural textures. As to be expected, the décor is luxurious, crisp and cosy: clear glass, stone floors and warm wood accents impart a sense of calm, far detached from the hectic world left behind the front gates. Relaxed? We haven’t even begun to address the spa menu, the gorgeous series of bath tanks or the degustation and drinks to be had out on the back deck. Yes, Tank Bathhouse is All The Things.
Here, packages are the order of the day and each is set for a minimum of 3 hours. Aimed at providing a ‘fully inclusive and immersive experience’ a few hours here might seem excessive to begin with, but it is time spent in complete relaxation and therefore, absolutely worth it. Included in each is an hour in the incredible bathhouse, where four outdoor baths in Santorini-white are set to differing temperatures: a magnesium pool at 40 degrees, ginseng at 36, botanical at 34 degrees and a cold plunge pool. Rotating through the four will help detoxify and rejuvenate your stressed self, and if that doesn’t do it, some time in the beautifully appointed infrared, steam and dry saunas will.
The treatments included in each package feature Tank’s own signature organic skin care range. Charcoal foot baths, deep or relaxation massage, native botanical facials, scalp massages and heat therapy are intertwined with the bathhouse itself as well as a slow degustation. Health elixirs, herbal teas and a vegan brunch, lunch or high tea are all on the menu. Oh. Prefer to mix in a little more relaxation than health? You can opt to indulge in champagne, dairy, gluten and all the non-vegan things presented in the Degustation Tower. When everything is bite sized, there’s even less to think about!
