We stayed for two nights in late March for the first time and everything about this place went beyond our expectations , especially the staff on greeting and throughout were always willing to offer assistance and go out of their way to help, the place is immaculate and very well managed by the onsite manager . This is all on top of the beautiful rooms , location and facilities , I highly recommend . - Amy
Situated on a rocky outcrop of Australia’s picturesque Queensland Coast, Noosa Heads is something of a speed hump in the annual migration of humpback whales to and from the warm breeding waters of Hervey Bay, just to the north. From June through to November, these majestic creatures can be seen folicking off shore, either on their way to birth calves or on their southern journey as they shepherd the newest arrivals back to Antarctica. Viewing their progression from the Heads of Noosa or (if you’re lucky) even off Main Beach in Laguna Bay is an activity designed to delight, relax and reflect in the wonder of the natural world around us. If squinting at whales kilometres out over the ocean is just not close enough however, the passionate folk at Whale One will help you get a much clearer and closer view of these great ocean mammals.
Departing from Mooloolaba, just 45 minutes south of Noosa, Whale One’s luxurious 20 foot catamaran will transport you in comfort offshore to the whale highway. Here, your day will be spent close enough to count barnacles, watching these creatures as they slap their tails and pecs, breach out of the water and best of all, gain an understanding of their curiosity of us as they gently circle the catamaran. With every cruise carrying a 100% guarantee of sighting, whale watching off Noosa has never been so exciting, though if thrilling is more your speed, ask about Whale One’s swimming with whales tours.
